Today is obviously a great day because it’s friday! We were informed yesterday that both Amy and Molly had to go over to the Eatonton location (Greensboro, GA) to help with supplies and attend meetings. This meant that Melissa and I were on our own for the very first time (eek). We arrived at 8 Read.

I do not have much to say about today besides that it was my catch up day! I was able to play around with canva, our website, and the instagram to curate new information. I made sponsorship posts, testimonial posts, different support group posts, and different days like national cancer day and international childhood cancer Read.

Wednesday, January 21st
This was my first time back in the office since last Thursday because I was out of town for MLK Jr. weekend! Needless to say, I have some catching up to do. I came into the office and got the run down from Melissa. I am going to be working closely on the Strolling for Read.

This morning was volunteer bootcamp! We got into the office and worked on our blogs about as well as social media content before we began. We met in a conference room to where we went over the volunteer handbook, volunteer roles, and app. Volunteers, both college and community are crucial to UCBC Cares program and Read.

January 14, 2026
This morning was the second day of my internship. I came in and worked on my blog and Melissa caught me up one what I missed the prior day. We had a lot of time in the morning to discuss how we wanted to delegate different tasks and events. Then we began working on the Read.

January 12th, 2026
Today I began my internship at University Cancer and Blood Center with the UCBC Cares Foundation. UCBC Cares is a nonprofit with the goal of increasing wellness across patients and community. Guiding principles of the foundation include education, support, prevention, and volunteerism. My fellow classmate Melissa is also an intern with UCBC Cares, which makes Read.
