Wow, this morning was rough. I luckily am not sick with any Flu, COVID, or strep but I got no sleep last night because of being sick. This morning was the monthly GI cancer board meeting at 7am! I could not miss it, this sounded so interesting! So I arrived today at 6:50. That meeting lasted till around 8. I was still not feeling my best so I took my antibiotics with some food and did some alone work time. Strollin’ with the Colon is one of my events and I need it to be ready to go by next week! At least save the date, at best. Since everything else for February is scheduled I really need to get on it! During this time Molly also asked us to find contact information of different medical, engineering, construction, and plumbing companies to ask to sponsor Strollin’ for the Colon so we added those to the excel! I worked on that until like 11 and then it was time to get ready for the first Lunch and Learn! We set up and cleaned the third floor conference room with drug information, lunch, and flowers. The reps came in around 11:30ish, there were four different drugs but six people showed. The physicians trickled in and every drug group had 5 minutes to give a presentation and 1 minute if a physician asked a question. It was a hit! I assisted in walking out some of the reps. We cleaned up and chatted then had lunch! Now I am able to work on my blog some because I did not this morning. We are just chatting now HA!… I ended up staying over an hour later because on my way out the main patient elevators broke. Molly and Amy delegated the volunteers around so that patients could use the back elevators or stairs to leave and not get lost.
