Due to the crazy ice storm, the office was closed on Monday! I asked Amy if we should work from home this day, but she insisted on having the day off. So I am finally back in the office today! Since we normally work on our blogs in the morning and I hadn’t had a prior shift, I decided to get my ducks in a row and organize how I want to continue accomplishing my tasks best for both the internship and school. Melissa and I then continued to collaborate before our Monday meeting. We continued to schedule post days as well as stalk other non profit social media posts for inspiration. Then was our meeting with Amy where we showed her all of our new content. We finalized a volunteer spotlight post, oncology massage therapy, and I began making templates for Strollin’ with the Colon, our colon cancer awareness event in March. Then, Melissa and I headed to a meeting with Charissa and Worries and Wonders. I had already gotten the run down from the previous meeting, but Melissa is executive director of KESEM and one of the partners and so Charissa filled her in. We provided some activity ideas for the kids to have during this event then headed to lunch. Melissa left shortly after, but I stayed with Amy and she shared with me some instagram reel posts that she wanted replicated so I worked on those while continuing to work on strollin’. Then I had the pleasure of meeting Erica, our oncology massage therapist! I was able to get great pictures of her and asked her for a testimonial statement that will be highlighted in one of our upcoming posts.
