I do not have much to say about today besides that it was my catch up day! I was able to play around with canva, our website, and the instagram to curate new information. I made sponsorship posts, testimonial posts, different support group posts, and different days like national cancer day and international childhood cancer day. I created the website information for Stollin’ for the Colon. I wrote about what to expect at the event, why we walk the event, and what everything we are doing is going toward. I was able to attend the event last year in solidarity and it was great! This year we are expecting a huge come out and so are anticipating that. Lastly, I finally got to attend a meeting. This was with both Amy, one of our social workers- Charissa, and then Blaine! We are doing a Wonders and Worries event partner with Kaseem and sponsored by UCBC. This event is to help our family patients that have cancer and mainly their children with the diagnosis and treatment process. I got to sit in and mainly take a back seat, but helped collaborate as a student what day might be best to have the event. Then I headed out!
